Rare WWII–Era E. Dehillerin Stockpot – Fresh Tin, Stunning Patina, 10.9 kg
This magnificent E. Dehillerin stockpot is a true piece of French culinary history. Stamped with the classic WWII–late 1950s Dehillerin mark, and additionally marked “BUEIF” on both the pot and the lid, this piece hints at a fascinating past—possibly tied to a French restaurant or institution in or around the town of Bue, France. While the exact origin of the “BUEIF” mark remains a mystery, it adds a unique character and story to the pot.
Crafted from thick 2.5 mm copper and weighing a solid 10.9 kg (24 lbs) including the lid, this stockpot was clearly made for heavy-duty professional use. It measures 32 cm wide by 33 cm high, making it ideal for large-scale cooking.
The interior has been freshly retinned and is in excellent condition, ready for use or display. The exterior shows gorgeous signs of wear and tear, giving it that desirable aged patina collectors love—authentic, not artificially distressed.
Whether you’re a chef seeking serious cookware or a collector looking for a standout piece, this Dehillerin stockpot is a rare and beautiful find.
