Measuring an impressive 52.5 cm (20.7 inches) in length, this professional kitchen utensil was designed for reducing sauces and preparing classic French cuisine. Pieces of this size and age are seldom encountered, especially in such remarkably well-preserved condition.
Stamped E. Dehillerin, Paris, this utensil originates from the celebrated period shortly after the company moved to 18 Rue Coquillière in 1890, when Dehillerin became one of France's most respected suppliers of professional culinary equipment. During this era, the company earned numerous awards for the quality of its cookware and utensils, becoming a favorite among professional chefs.
